Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 149 points, or 0.89 per cent higher at 16,807, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a positive start on Tuesday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:
CE Info Systems: Shares of the company, known as MapmyIndia, will make their Dalal Street debut on Tuesday. The Rs 1,040 crore IPO was open between December 9-13 in the price band of Rs 1,000-1,033 per share. Ahead of listing, it was commanding a premium of Rs 500 apiece in the grey market.
Tech Mahindra: The IT firm said it has been working with Telefónica Germany to digitally transform its microwave network with open software defined networking (SDN). Telefónica is working to standardise its management interface by collaborating with multiple vendors and partners.
Shree Cement: A delegation of officials from Shree Cementmet Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and held discussions for setting up a Greenfield Cement plant in Guntur district at an estimated cost of Rs 1,500 crore.
Wipro: The IT major said it will acquire Austin, Texas-headquartered Edgile for USD 230 million, a move that will strengthen the IT major's play in the cybersecurity services space.
Telcos: India's largest telecom operator Reliance Jio gained 17.6 lakh mobile subscribers in October 2021 while its rivals Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea lost a cumulative 14.5 lakh users during the month, according to the latest TRAI data.
Escorts: Shareholders of farm machinery and construction equipment major Escorts Ltd have approved the preferential allotment of nearly 94 lakh shares to Japan's Kubota Corporation, which is seeking a majority control of the Indian partner and become a joint promoter.
Tata Power: State-owned SECI has awarded a contract to the Tatas for setting up a 100MW solar project with battery energy storage system (BESS) at Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. The project will demonstrate how, by using a large battery storage system like BESS, solar power can be used to provide clean energy during evening peak hours.
Vedanta: The Anil Agarwal led miner said it has acquired Nicomet, a leading nickel and cobalt producer which is based in Goa. The acquisition is in line with Vedanta's ESG mission and is a big step towards supporting India's carbon neutrality goals. With this acquisition, Vedanta has become the country's sole producer of nickel.
RailTel Corporation of India: The state-run railway company has received work order from Defence R & D Organisation for expansion and enhancement of CIAG network capacity at a total cost of Rs 68.31 crore. The entire work is to be completed in a period of seven months.
Rolex Rings: The recenlty listed auto parts maker has entered into the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Gujarat for development of Textile & Apparel Park, IT Park and Toy Park at Gondal district.
KPI Global Infrastructure: The company has received confirmation of the order for executing solar power project of 2.50 MWdc capacity under 'Captive Power Producer (CPP)' segment.
