Lenskart Solutions shares rose up to 4.5?ter the eyewear company said its joint venture, Baofeng Framekart Technology, has received the certificate of incorporation for adding Wenzhou Framekart Trade as its step-down subsidiary in the People's Republic of China.
"The step-down subsidiary of the company has been incorporated under the name Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co Ltd on August 14, 2026. The company has received the Certificate of Incorporation in respect thereof on August 17, 2026," Lenskart said in a stock exchange filing.
Upon incorporation, 95% of the equity interest in Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co Ltd is held by BFT, the company said.
"The step-down subsidiary shall undertake the business of trading, importing, exporting and procuring spectacle frames and allied optical products, as well as related materials, equipment and technology, as may be required for the business of BFT and its subsidiaries from time to time," the filing said.
At 1:25 pm on August 18, Lenskart shares were trading 3.7% higher at Rs 629.5 apiece.
Last week, Lenskart Solutions posted a near four-fold increase in quarterly profit, boosted by strong demand for its prescription eyeglasses.
Net profit for the quarter ended June 30 surged to Rs 222 crore from Rs 60 crore in the same period last year.
Consolidated sales for the quarter stood at Rs 2,714 crore, up 43.27% from Rs 1,894 crore.
Revenue from its mainstay India business, from which it derives over half the revenue, grew 30.9%, where same-store sales growth was at 18.3%.
Revenue from Lenskart's international segment surged 63.4%, due to favourable currency movements and same-store growth.
Its average selling price for the quarter in India rose 6.4% to Rs 1,856 due to a shift in product mix toward premium products and progressive lenses.
