Meta-owned Facebook suffered a massive glitch, apps went down. The world saw how much it runs on them.
Meta-owned Facebook suffered a massive glitch on Tuesday, with many users complaining about seeing random posts on their feeds.
According to the outage tracker website, Downdetector, more than 300 users have complained about the problem on the platform, with over 60% of them related to the app, 26?longing to problems with a newsfeed, and the other 14% related to the Facebook website.
Similar problems were faced by users in other parts of the world as well.
Further, many users reported that their feeds were filled with messages from celebrities or random people and took to Twitter to express their discontent through hilarious memes and tweets.
Meta or Facebook had not come out with a reason or statement behind the outage at the time of filing this report.
This is not the first time a Meta-owned platform has faced issues. Last month, Instagram and Facebook Messenger suffered a global outage, causing many people problems while trying to watch videos and send messages.
