FTSE announces index review changes
Global index provider FTSE has decided to add Tata Capital, Lenskart Solutions, LG Electronics, Meesho, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company, and Billionbrains Garage Ventures Groww to its FTSE All World and FTSE All Cap indices, effective June 22.
Exide Industries, Nuvama Wealth Management
National Stock Exchange of India has decided to remove Exide Industries and Nuvama Wealth Management from the Futures & Options segment, effective June 22.

TVS Motor Company, Adani Enterprises
TVS Motor Company will replace Adani Enterprises in the Sensex 50 index. Meanwhile, Adani Enterprises, Ashok Leyland, One 97 Communications, and CG Power and Industrial Solutions will replace TVS Motor Company, Ambuja Cements, Colgate Palmolive, and Tube Investments of India in the BSE Sensex Next 50 index.
Further, Ashok Leyland, One 97 Communications, and CG Power and Industrial Solutions will be added to the BSE 100 index, while Ambuja Cements, Tube Investments of India, and Colgate Palmolive will be excluded. All the above changes will take effect from June 22.
Lupin
Lupin said that China’s National Medical Products Administration has approved the company’s Abbreviated New Drug Application for Oseltamivir Phosphate, developed in partnership with Yabao Pharmaceuticals. This marks Lupin’s first product entry into China.
Oseltamivir Phosphate oral suspension will be launched specifically for paediatric use.
Gujarat Themis Biosyn
Gujarat Themis Biosyn has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 100 percent equity stake in MicroBiopharm Japan Co from funds managed or advised by T Capital Partners Co, a Japan-based private equity fund. The transaction, valued at Rs 1,300 crore, is expected to close in Q2 FY2027.
Aurobindo Pharma
Aurobindo Pharma said the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) inspected Unit-I, a formulation manufacturing facility of Eugia Pharma Specialities, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, in Telangana from February 16 to February 27. The inspection concluded with four observations.
The US FDA has now classified the inspection status of the facility as Official Action Indicated (OAI).
Lemon Tree Hotels
Lemon Tree Hotels said the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of certain equity shares of Fleur Hotels by Coastal Cedar Investments BV, along with the internal restructuring of the Lemon Tree Hotels group through amalgamations and demerger.
RBL Bank
Emirates NBD Bank has announced an open offer to acquire up to 41.55 crore shares of RBL Bank from public shareholders, representing 26 percent of the expanded voting share capital, at Rs 282.38 per share. The total offer size is valued at Rs 11,735.3 crore.
Federal Bank
Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Elias George as Part-Time Chairman of Federal Bank for a period of three years, effective May 23.
Glenmark Pharma
Glenmark Pharma said its subsidiary, Glenmark USA, has agreed to enter into a settlement with state attorneys general for a total amount of $29.628 million, payable in annual instalments over five years. The settlement remains subject to court approval.
The company clarified that Glenmark USA denies all allegations made against it, and the settlement does not constitute any admission of liability, wrongdoing, or illegality.
Bulk and Block Deals
One 97 Communications Paytm
Elevation Capital and its entities — SAIF III Mauritius Company and SAIF Partners India IV — collectively sold 85.98 lakh shares, representing a 1.34 percent stake in One 97 Communications, for Rs 963.6 crore.
As of March 2026, SAIF Partners India IV held a 4 percent stake, while SAIF III Mauritius Company owned 9.43 percent in the Paytm parent company.
A total of 12 investors — Societe Generale, Ghisallo Master Fund, Viridian Asia Opportunities Master Fund, Sundaram Mutual Fund, Citigroup Global Markets, BNP Paribas Arbitrage, Copthall Mauritius Investment, NRSGVCC, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe, Nippon India Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, and India Acorn ICAV acquired the 1.34 percent stake sold by Elevation Capital and its entities. The transaction price was Rs 1,120.65 per share.
JSW Cement
AP Asia Opportunistic Holdings Pte sold 4.58 crore equity shares, representing a 3.36 percent stake in JSW Cement, for Rs 568.14 crore. As of March 2026, Apollo Global Management’s subsidiary held 4.64 crore shares, or a 3.4 percent stake, in the cement company.
On the other hand, 11 domestic and global investors — ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, India Acorn ICAV, SBI Mutual Fund, Amundi Funds Equity India, Goldman Sachs, New York State Teachers Retirement System, Mediolanum Best Brands, Bandhan Mutual Fund, Bajaj Finserv Mutual Fund, WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund, and Edelweiss Mutual Fund purchased the 3.36 percent stake sold by AP Asia. The transaction price was Rs 124 per share.
Pine Labs
New Delhi-based private equity firm Madison India Capital-owned Madison India Opportunities IV sold 2.47 crore shares, representing a 2.15 percent stake in Pine Labs, for Rs 356.86 crore.
As of March 2026, Madison India held 2.53 crore equity shares, or a 2.21 percent stake, in Pine Labs.
Global investment firm Franklin Templeton, along with Tata Mutual Fund, Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore, iProfile Emerging Markets Private Pool, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, and HSBC Mutual Fund were buyers in the Pine Labs block deals. The transaction price was Rs 144 per share.
Le Travenues Technology
Schroder International Selection Fund Asian Total Return sold 34.55 lakh shares, representing a 0.78 percent stake in Le Travenues Technology (Ixigo), for Rs 58.89 crore at Rs 170.42 per share. As of March 2026, Schroders held a 2.3 percent stake in Ixigo.
PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery
Mumbai-based private equity firm Baring Private Equity Partners India-owned Baring Private Equity India Fund 6 acquired 2.13 lakh shares, representing a 0.67 percent stake, in PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery for Rs 8..33 crore at Rs 390 per share.
Inventurus Knowledge Solutions
Berjis Minoo Desai sold 6 lakh shares, representing a 0.34 percent stake in Inventurus Knowledge Solutions, for Rs 94.8 crore.
Edelweiss Mutual Fund, through Edelweiss Small Cap Fund, and 3P India Equity Fund acquired all the shares sold by the chairperson. The transaction price was Rs 1,580 per share.
Adani Energy Solutions
Birla Mutual Fund acquired 48.05 lakh shares, representing a 0.4 percent stake, in Adani Energy Solutions from Qatar Holding LLC for Rs 643.5 crore. The transaction price was Rs 1,339 per share.
