Price Action | PVR Inox hits 52-week high as board to consider buyback; Netweb falls on fundraising

Stock-specific action remained in focus on Dalal Street on August 25, with investors reacting to corporate developments.


Share price PVR Inox touched 52-week high as meeting of the board of directors of the company is scheduled to be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, to consider and approve a proposal for buyback of the equity shares of the company, having a face value of INR 10 each.


Sudarshan Chemical shares slipped 1 percent after its step-down wholly-owned subsidiary Sudarshan Switzerland SLO AG signed a definitive Asset Sale and Transfer Agreement with Clariant Additives (Switzerland) AG to acquire its aluminium dyes and chemicals manufacturing plant in Muttenz, Switzerland.


Shares of Netweb Technologies India fell 2 percent after company announced the successful completion of its Qualified Institutions Placement raising an aggregate of approximately ?1,200 crore.


Puravankara share price jumped 1.5 percent following the company entered into a joint development agreement (JDA) for a 7.83-acre land parcel in South-East Bengaluru, with an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of Rs 1,100 crore.


Among sectors, except media, all other indices were trading lower with auto, energy, IT, metal, oil & gas, pharma, realty down 0.3-1%.


The broader market trading lower, with the Nifty Midcap down marginally, while Smallcap index shed 0.3%.


Market breadth remained weak on the BSE, with 1480 shares advancing, 2034 declining and 190 remaining unchanged, indicating a broadly negative trend across the broader market.
