Bajaj Auto stock jumps 4% to top Nifty gainer as Street cheers Q1 margin beat, export outlook

Shares of Bajaj Auto Ltd rallied 4 percent in early trade on Wednesday, emerging as the top gainer on the Nifty 50, as investors cheered the two-wheeler maker's stronger-than-expected June-quarter earnings and upbeat brokerage commentary on its margin outlook, exports and product pipeline.

Bajaj Auto stock climbed as much as 4 percent to Rs 10,820, recovering sharply after slipping 1.13 percent in the previous session following the earnings announcement. Bajaj Auto has now gained 13 percent so far in 2026, outperforming the Nifty 50, which is down 7.5 percent over the same period. The company commands a market capitalisation of more than Rs 2.91 lakh crore.

The rally came even as the broader market traded weak. The Nifty 50 was down 0.44 percent in early trade, while the Nifty Auto index was up 0.7 percent, making it one of the few sectoral gainers.

Brokerages turned more constructive after the June-quarter results, saying Bajaj Auto delivered a margin-led earnings beat despite elevated commodity costs. They also highlighted the company's strong export momentum, resilient domestic demand and upcoming product launches as key growth drivers.

Brokerages struck a constructive tone after the June-quarter results. Analysts said Bajaj Auto delivered margin-led earnings beat despite commodity cost headwinds. Analysts also pointed to a strong export recovery, resilient domestic demand, healthy cash generation and an active product pipeline as key factors underpinning the company's growth outlook, with some raising their earnings estimates following the quarterly performance.

Bajaj Auto on Tuesday reported a 45.9 percent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 3,225.63 crore for the June quarter, while consolidated revenue from operations increased 65 percent to Rs 21,688.83 crore.
