Kalpataru Projects shares gain on Rs 3,526 crore order wins

Kalpataru Projects International share price added nearly 1 percent on August 17 after the company secured new orders and received Notifications of Award worth approximately Rs 3,526 crore.


At 09:22am, Kalpataru Projects International was quoting at Rs 1,362.80, up Rs 10.70, or 0.79 percent, on the BSE.


The order wins include an EPC project for an industrial plant in India, multiple orders in the Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business, and residential building projects in India.


In another development, the company’s branch office in the Kingdom of Eswatini received a Notice of Assessment from the Eswatini Revenue Service, raising a demand for tax and penalty for the period from November 2024 to January 2026. The branch intends to file objections against the notice within the prescribed timelines.


For Q1 FY27, the company reported a 46% YoY jump in net profit to Rs 312 crore, while revenue grew 4% to Rs 6,408 crore. EBITDA increased 7% to Rs 562 crore, with EBITDA margin improving 30 basis points to 8.8%.


Motilal Oswal has maintained its ‘Buy’ rating on the stock with a target price of Rs 1,600, revising its FY27/FY28E estimates by 6%/2% to factor in better margin performance. The brokerage expects revenue, EBITDA and PAT to grow at a CAGR of 14%, 14% and 18%, respectively, over FY26-29.


Meanwhile, Prabhudas Lilladher downgraded the stock to ‘Accumulate’ from ‘Buy’, citing the recent rally and valuation of the core business at 16x Mar’28E PE, while marginally raising its target price to Rs 1,472.


In June, Kalpataru Projects had secured orders worth Rs 2,957 crore across its Transmission & Distribution, Buildings and Water verticals.


In the previous trading session, the share closed at Rs 1,352.10, down Rs 14.50, or 1.06 percent.


The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 1,499.75 and a 52-week low of Rs 1,007.90 on 22 June, 2026 and 23 March, 2026, respectively. Currently, the stock is trading 9.84 percent below its 52-week high and 34.15 percent above its 52-week low.


The market capitalisation of the company stands at Rs 23,090.16 crore.
