Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 16 points, or 0.09 per cent lower at 18,122.50, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Wednesday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:
Bajaj Auto, L&T Info, ICICI Lombard: Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Bajaj Auto, ICICI General Insurance Company, JSW Energy, Tata Communications NSE 1.35 %, Oracle Financial Services, Syngene International, Sterlite Technologies, Saregama India NSE -0.06 % and Mastek are among the companies that will announce their December quarter results today.
NTPC: The state-owned power giant has invited bids from developers to build a 900-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic parks in Cuba. "NTPC Ltd, India's largest integrated energy producer, invites bids from developers to build the solar PV parks in the Republic of Cuba," it said.
ICICI Prudential Life Insurance: The private life insurer reported a marginal two per cent year-on-year growth in its net income to Rs 311 crore for the December 2021 quarter, on higher sales of policies.
L&T Technology Services: The IT player reported 34 per cent jump in December quarter net profit at Rs 248.8 crore, driven majorly by profit margin expansion. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 1,687.5 crore from Rs 1,400 crore in the year-ago period.
Dixon Technologies: The electronics manufacturing firm and Imagine Marketing, the parent company of home-grown earwear brand boAt, have formed a 50:50 joint venture to manufacture Bluetooth-enabled audio devices and aims to have a revenue of Rs 1,000 crore in the next four years.
ICICI Securities: The brokerage reported a 42 per cent growth in profit after tax at Rs 380 crore for the December 2021 quarter. The company had posted a PAT of Rs 267 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal.
DCM Shriram: The sugar producer posted a 38 per cent growth in profit after tax (PAT) for the third quarter ending December 31, 2021, at Rs 350 crore compared to that of Rs 253 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations of the company during the quarter under review grew by 26.5 per cent to Rs 2,730 crore.
Tata Elxsi: The IT software player said its net profit increased 43.5 per cent to Rs 151 crore in December quarter 2021-22. The company is among the world's leading design and technology services providers across industries, including Automotive, Broadcast, Communications, Healthcare, and Transportation.
Network18 Media & Investments: The media firm reported a 7.93 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 306.94 crore for the third quarter ended December 2021. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 333.38 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago.
