Vodafone Idea clears Rs 818 crore statutory dues

Vodafone Idea NSE 2.98 % has paid its statutory dues to the tune of ?818 crore to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) as licence fee (LF) and spectrum usage charge (SUC) for the second quarter of 2021-22, clearing all its pending statutory dues.

Coming soon after the back to back on-time payments to its non-convertible debenture (NCD) holders, the latest payment of statutory dues underlines the loss-making telco's easing cash flow situation after the government's relief package, say experts.

"Vi deposited ?818 crore on December 31 as LF & SUC based on self assessment by the company," a senior government official told ET.
