New Delhi: Shares of SML Isuzu NSE 10.08 % were high in demand during early trade on Monday following the company's monthly business updates.
According to a regulatory filing filed with BSE, the company registered a strong growth in the month of December and also in the nine months ended for the ongoing fiscal.
Following the update, shares of SML Isuzu zoomed over 14 per cent to Rs 724.20 on Monday, before paring some gains to trade at Rs 712.50 at 9.35 am.
The benchmark barometer BSE Sensex was trading 377.02 points, or 0.65 per cent, higher at 58,630.84 at the time of writing this report.
The auto player sold 701 units in December 2021, a rise of 38 per cent compared to 509 units sold in December 2021. The passenger vehicle sales zoomed 282 per cent to Rs 218 units, whereas cargo vehicles inched up 7 per cent.
The company has sold 4,706 units in the first nine months of the financial year 2021-22, 68 per cent more than 2,796 units sold in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.
Shares of SML Isuzu have zoomed more than 50 per cent in the last one year, whereas Sensex has jumped merely 23 per cent during the period under review.
