Jaiprakash Associates, Vedanta


Mining conglomerate Vedanta beat Gautam Adani’s Group to make the winning bid for the acquisition of debt-ridden Jaiprakash Associates (JAL) for Rs 17,000 crore, reports PTI, quoting sources. The bid value translates into JAL’s net present value of Rs 12,505 crore. JAL has been dragged into insolvency proceedings after defaulting on loan payments.


Zydus Lifesciences


The US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) conducted an inspection at the group’s injectable manufacturing plant at Vadodara, Gujarat, during August 25 – September 5, and concluded the inspection with 4 observations. There were no data integrity-related observations.


Aurobindo Pharma


The US FDA inspected the company’s Unit-XII, which includes both oral solids and injectable manufacturing units, at Bachupally, Telangana, from August 25 to September 5. Following the inspection, the US FDA issued a Form 483 with 8 observations. All observations are procedural in nature.


Hyundai Motor India


Hyundai Motor India announced that it will pass on the entire benefit of the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate reduction on passenger vehicles (PVs) to its customers, slashing prices by up to Rs 2.4 lakh. The new prices will become effective on September 22, the date the revised GST rates come into effect.


Mahindra and Mahindra


The auto major announced a price cut across its ICE SUV portfolio, with immediate effect. Popular models like the Thar, Scorpio, Bolero, XUV700, and Scorpio-N will now be available with savings ranging from Rs 1.01 lakh to Rs 1.56 lakh, depending on the model and variant.


Tata Motors


Tata Motors announced a reduction in prices across its cars and SUVs by up to Rs 1.55 lakh, effective September 22, when the revised tax slabs come into force.


PNB Housing Finance


The Board has approved the issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) up to a maximum amount of Rs 5,000 crore, with or without a green shoe option, on a private placement basis, in one or more tranches.


Adani Power


Adani Power has signed a shareholders’ agreement with Bhutan’s state-owned utility Druk Green Power Corp (DGPC) for setting up a 570 MW hydroelectric project at Wangchhu in Bhutan. The company and DGPC will jointly incorporate a public company (with 49:51 shareholding) in Bhutan to undertake the project.


BHEL


Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) plans to develop a railway locomotive that runs on hydrogen fuel cells to generate electricity. It announced a long-term MoU with Singapore-based Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies. BHEL will have a 10-year exclusive agreement with Horizon to create this new domestic market segment.


Welspun Living


Sanjay Gupta has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of the company due to personal reasons, effective October 15.


Adani Green Energy


The company, through its various step-down subsidiaries, has operationalised 87.5 MW power projects at Khavda, Gujarat. With the commissioning of these plants, the company’s total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 16,078 MW.


HFCL


The company, through its overseas wholly owned subsidiary, has secured export orders worth $40.65 million (equivalent to Rs 358.38 crore) for the supply of optical fiber cables.


Ceigall India


The company has received a Letter of Intent for the procurement of solar power under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 for 147 MW from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co (MSEDCL), for setting up grid-connected solar power projects at multiple locations in Maharashtra.


Ideaforge Technology


Shareholders have approved the appointment of Vipul Joshi as the Whole-time Director of the company, effective September 6, for a period of five years.


Time Technoplast


The company has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the promoters of Ebullient Packaging for the acquisition of a 74% equity stake. EPPL is valued at an estimated enterprise value of approximately Rs 200 crore.


Ratnamani Metals & Tubes


Ratnamani Metals & Tubes has executed a Share Purchase Agreement with Technoenergy AG, Switzerland, to purchase its entire shareholding (40,000 shares of euro 10 each, at a purchase price of euro 4,00,000) in Ratnamani Trade EU AG, Switzerland. With this, Ratnamani Trade EU AG shall become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.


Exxaro Tiles


Himanshu Shah has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of the company, effective September 6, to pursue a new professional opportunity outside the organization.


Imagicaaworld Entertainment


The company has executed a Business Transfer Agreement with Giriraj Enterprises and/or its partners for the purchase of a 6.65 MW solar power plant at Solapur, Maharashtra, owned by Giriraj Enterprises, on a slump sale basis on a going concern basis, for Rs 16 crore.


Aegis Logistics


The company announced a new capacity addition of 61,000 KL at Mumbai Port, with an investment of Rs 99.88 crore.


Highway Infrastructure


The Board has approved the appointment of Riddharth Jain as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, effective September 6.


Max Estates


The Board approved the execution of a Securities Purchase Agreement for the acquisition of Base Buildwell, a project SPV holding license and development rights over a 7.25-acre land parcel at Golf Course Extension Road, Gurugram. The acquisition will result in Base Buildwell becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.


ACME Solar Holdings


The company has executed a share purchase agreement for the acquisition of 100% equity shares of AK Renewable Infra, for an enterprise value of Rs 79.25 crore.


Sunteck Realty


The Board has approved the issuance of 1,17,64,705 warrants, convertible into equivalent equity shares, at Rs 425 per warrant, amounting to Rs 500 crore through preferential allotment to promoters, promoter group, and non-promoters of the company.


NTPC Green Energy


The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VOC Port Authority to set up a green hydrogen fueling station at VOC Port, along with hydrogen-based internal combustion engine trucks for port operations.


Barbeque-Nation Hospitality


Shareholders have approved the re-appointment of Rahul Agrawal as Chief Executive Officer and Whole-Time Director of the company for a period of five years, effective December 31, 2025.


Bulk, Block Deals


Prime Focus


Ramesh Damani, Madhusudan Kela-owned Singularity AMC, Utpal Sheth, FE Securities, and Samyak Enterprises have acquired a 3.3% stake in the company for Rs 146.2 crore. Singularity Large Value Fund I, II, and III, owned by Madhusudan Kela and his son Yash Kela, bought 62.5 lakh shares (2.01%) at Rs 142.55 per share. Ramesh Shrichand Damani and Utpal H Sheth acquired 8 lakh shares and 17.5 lakh shares, respectively, at the same price. FE Securities and Samyak Enterprises purchased 14.55 lakh shares each.


However, Marina IV (Singapore) and Marina IV sold 48.06 lakh shares (1.55%), while Augusta Investments I offloaded 54.48 lakh shares (1.75%) at the same price. As of June 2025, Augusta Investments I held an 8.86% stake, and Marina IV (Singapore) held a 7.55% stake in the company.


Tourism Finance Corporation of India


Aditya Kumar Halwasiya, a Non-Executive Director on the board, has acquired 6.7 lakh shares at Rs 346 per share, and 5.3 lakh shares at Rs 345.53 per share. This totals to a 1.29% stake worth Rs 41.49 crore.


Zee Media Corporation


Promoter entity Auv Innovations LLP acquired 50 lakh shares (0.8%) in Zee Media at Rs 12.37 per share from Miloeux Media & Entertainment.
