Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Domestic headline indices opened with gains on Friday morning despite weak global cues. S&P BSE Sensex rose 300 points or 0.53% on the opening bell to breach 53,700 while the NSE Nifty 50 index was above 16,000 mark. Bank Nifty was also in the green along with broader markets. India VXI slipped below 18 levels on Friday morning. Hindustan Unilever was the top gaining stock on Sensex, up 1.72%, followed by Bharti Airtel, and Bajaj Auto. HCL Tech was the worst performer along with Tata Steel.
Google has picked up a 1.2% stake in the telecom major Bharti Airtel. Bharti Airtel on Thursday informed the stock exchanges that its board has approved the allotment of 71 million shares to tech major Google at an issue price of Rs 734 per share. Shares of Bharti Airtel closed on Thursday at Rs 642 per share. The investment comes as a prior commitment that was made by Google in January this year. The internet giant will invest a total of $1 billion in Bharti Airtel. The remaining $300 million will go towards implementing commercial agreements. Google also holds a significant stake in Bharti Airtel’s rival Reliance Jio Platforms. Google had invested in the Mukesh Ambani-led company during its mega divestment spree.
“On the technical front, the key resistance level for Nifty 50 is 16,100, and on the downside, 15,800 can act as strong support. The key support and resistance levels for Bank Nifty are 34,400 and 35,400 respectively.
Sensex and Nifty trimmed gains on Friday morning but continue to trade in the green. Nifty was again below 16,000.
Sensex rose 300 points on Friday's opening bell to regain 53,700 while the NSE Nifty 50 index was above 16,000 mark. Bank Nifty was also in the green while India VIX slipped below 18 levels.
“Traders are advised to look for buying opportunities from a short-term perspective as the risk reward ratio for contra bets seems favourable here. The immediate support for Nifty is placed in the range of 15850-15800 while resistance will be seen around 16250,”
