Infosys


The company has announced a strategic collaboration with Cursor, a leading AI-powered development platform, to help enterprises worldwide accelerate their AI value journey. As part of this collaboration, the companies will set up a Center of Excellence (CoE) to accelerate enterprise adoption of software engineering agents in the development of AI-native products.


Vedanta, Hindustan Zinc


The company has approved the sale of up to 6.7 crore equity shares of Hindustan Zinc (representing 1.59 percent of the paid-up equity) via an offer-for-sale on January 28–29. This comprises a base offer size of 3.35 crore shares and an oversubscription option of 3.35 crore shares. The floor price for the offer has been fixed at Rs 685 per share.


Oil and Natural Gas Corporation


The company, through its joint ventures with Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), Japan, has entered into shipbuilding contracts (SBCs) with Samsung Heavy Industries, South Korea, for the construction of two very large ethane carriers (VLECs).


Titagarh Rail Systems


The company has signed an agreement with ABB to deliver propulsion systems for 25kV Metro projects. The framework includes transfer of technology for TCMS for 25kV driverless metro systems and transfer of manufacturing of converters and traction motors under the Government of India’s Make in India policy.


Rail Vikas Nigam


Rail Vikas Nigam has emerged as the lowest bidder for an order worth Rs 242.5 crore from South Central Railway. The order involves design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning for OHE upgradation of the existing 1x25kV system to a 2x25kV feeding system, along with feeder and earthing works in the Ongole–Gudur section of Vijayawada.


Life Insurance Corporation of India


The insurance company has subscribed to 5.12 lakh debentures of Bajaj Finance, having a face value of Rs 1 lakh each, amounting to Rs 5,120 crore. These funds will be utilised for general business purposes.


Block Deals


Axis Bank, Vedanta


Frankfurt-based Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, a subsidiary of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., has bought 51.31 lakh equity shares (equivalent to 0.16 percent of paid-up equity) in Axis Bank for Rs 674.21 crore from Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore). The shares were exchanged at a price of Rs 1,313.9 per share.


Further, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe has acquired 25.58 lakh equity shares (0.018 percent stake) in Reliance Industries from Morgan Stanley for Rs 354.1 crore. The exchange price for these shares was Rs 1,383.9 per share.


Both foreign investors also exchanged Vedanta shares at a price of Rs 699.45 per share. Goldman Sachs purchased 21.74 lakh shares (0.055 percent stake) for Rs 152.11 crore from Morgan Stanley.


Bulk Deals


IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust


Spices maker Everest Food Products has bought 15.22 lakh units (0.17 percent stake) from ASK Financial Holdings. These units, worth Rs 25 crore, were exchanged at Rs 164.25 per unit.


Antony Waste Handling Cell


The Miri Strategic Emerging Markets Fund, owned by Miri Capital Management, has acquired an additional 2.04 lakh shares (0.72 percent stake) in Antony Waste at Rs 589.37 per share, valued at Rs 12.05 crore.


With this, in the current month, the Miri Strategic Emerging Markets Fund has picked up a total 3.26 percent stake, in addition to the 1.14 percent shares held as of December 2025.


RateGain Travel Technologies


Arpit Khandelwal-founded Plutus Wealth Management sold a further 16.57 lakh shares (1.4 percent stake) in the company at Rs 606 per share to Paisabuddy Finance for Rs 100.43 crore.


In the last two sessions, Plutus offloaded a total 3.13 percent stake in RateGain, against its shareholding of 6.39 percent as of December 2025.
