SPML Infra shares gain 2% on Rs 1,073 crore water supply project win

SPML Infra share price rose 2 percent in the early trade on August 19 following the company winning Rs 1,073 crore water supply project at Indore.


At 09:17am, SPML Infra was quoting at Rs 304.00, up Rs 6.10, or 2.05 percent, on the BSE.


".... has been awarded a Rs 1,073 crore (inc. of GST) project by Indore Municipal Corporation for the augmentation of the water supply system under the AMRUT 2.0. The project also includes a comprehensive 10-year operation & maintenance (O&M) contract," company said in its release.


The scope of work includes the construction of a state-of-the-art intake of 1,650 MLD capacity along with a raw water pump house. A modern 400 MLD Water Treatment Plant (WTP) equipped with advanced technology to meet stringent water quality standards.


The contract also includes development of Clear Water Booster Pumping Stations, pumping mains, and associated transmission systems with 22 kilometres of pipeline of 1200 mm to 2337 mm diameter and establishment of an integrated 132/33 kv power substation to support the water supply operations.


The EPC part of the project is scheduled to be completed within 30 months (including rainy seasons) from the signing of the contract.


The company had posted 7 percent fall in is Q1FY26 net profit at Rs 12.15 crore versus Rs 13.05 crore in Q1FY25.


In the previous trading session, the share closed at Rs 297.90, up Rs 18.90, or 6.77 percent.


The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 321.70 and a 52-week low of Rs 137.00 on 01 August, 2025 and 18 March, 2025, respectively.


Currently, the stock is trading 5.5 percent below its 52-week high and 121.9 percent above its 52-week low.


The market capitalisation of the company stands at Rs 2,179.36 crore.
