Stocks in the news: Bharti Airtel, ZEEL, Vedanta, Bharat Forge and BPCL

Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 62.50 points, or 0.36 per cent, higher at 17,611.50, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a positive start on Wednesday. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:

ZEEL: The merger of Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEE) and Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) is on track and "in the final stages of stitching up", disclosed Punit Goenka, MD & CEO, ZEE on Tuesday.
Vodafone Idea: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is likely to tell the Supreme Court soon that the government will return bank guarantees (BG) of telcos even for matters which are currently sub judice.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation: BPCL will soon float a tender for a 20 MW electrolyser to build the country's largest green hydrogen plant as it aims to achieve net-zero emissions for its operations by 2040, its chairman Arun Kumar Singh has said.

Bharat Forge: Auto components major Bharat Forge said its arm Kalyani Powertrain has hiked stake in electric two-wheeler maker Tork Motors to 60.66 per cent through conversion of debentures into equity shares.


Repco Home Finance: The Chennai-based company has invited applications from candidates for the position of its managing director and chief executive officer.
Bharti Airtel: Moody's has affirmed Bharti's Ba1 corporate family rating (CFR) and senior unsecured rating, and the Ba1 rating on the backed senior unsecured notes issued by Bharti Airtel International (Netherlands) BV.

HFCL: Domestic telecom gear maker HFCL said all promoter group shares pledged with various lenders have been released. Promoters jointly hold 41.89 per cent stake in the company.
Sayaji Hotels: Hospitality brand

 announced a strategic partnership with a majority stake in integrated asset-light hotel management company Intellistay Hotels that will add 27 hotels to its current collection of 14 properties.

Equitas Small Finance Bank: The SFB said it has partnered with HDFC Bank to launch its new co-branded credit cards. The credit cards will be available for Equitas small bank finance customer.
Vedanta: Two entities, including promoter entity, on Tuesday acquired 3.7 per cent stake in the mining behemoth, Vedanta Ltd through open market transactions.

Apollo Tyres: Amazon Web Services (AWS) on Tuesday said Apollo Tyres is moving to its platform to digitise the company's manufacturing processes as well as transform customer experiences.

Mindtree: Markets regulator Sebi levied monetary fine on two employees of Mindtree for failing to make requisite disclosures and thereby violating insider trading norms.

Dish TV: The company has urged the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to dismiss the petition filed by its largest shareholder Yes Bank India Ltd, which is seeking to convene EGM of the Direct-to-Home service provider.
Schaeffler India: The Indian arm of German auto component maker Schaeffler will invest over Rs 300 crore in the next four year years in setting up a new manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

Reliance Industries: The reevaluation of the decision to sell a 20 per cent stake in Reliance Industries Ltd's oil-to-chemical business to Saudi Aramco will not impact the firm's credit quality, Moody's Investors Service said Tuesday.


Wipro: The IT firm said it has partnered with Telefónica to automate the associated network operations and enable adoption of virtualized network functions.
