Senco Gold shares hit 5% upper circuit as it posts highest-ever revenue in Q4 update

Shares of Senco Gold were locked at 5 percent upper circuit at Rs 317 apiece on April 9, following the company’s release of a robust business update for the March quarter.

So far this year, the jewellery maker’s stock has seen a sharp decline of over 46 percent. This drop stands in contrast to the benchmark Nifty 50 index, which has slipped by around 5 percent during the same period.

In its fourth-quarter update, Senco Gold reported a solid 19.1 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue, clocking its highest-ever revenue for a fourth quarter at over Rs 1,300 crore. For the full fiscal year, the company’s top-line figure crossed Rs 6,200 crore, marking a healthy 19.4 percent growth in retail business.

The company attributed this growth to a strong boost in wedding and festive demand during the quarter, which drove higher foot traffic across stores and an uptick in customer invoices.

Same-store sales growth stood at 18.4 percent for the quarter, and at 14.6 percent for the full fiscal year. Notably, revenue growth from Tier 3 and Tier 4 towns outpaced that of metro cities and Tier 2 locations, showcasing the rising demand in smaller markets.

Sales of coins and bullion continued to form a relatively minor portion of overall gold sales, accounting for less than 4 percent. Meanwhile, the company’s revenue from regions outside the eastern part of India saw a 23 percent jump in 2025, reaching Rs 1,100 crore, up from Rs 940 crore in the financial year 2024.

Senco Gold also reported an impressive 39 percent growth in diamond jewellery sales. In addition, the stud ratio—representing the proportion of studded jewellery sold—improved slightly, rising to 10.9 percent from 10.5 percent.

During the fourth quarter, the company expanded its retail footprint by launching four new showrooms under both the Franchisee and Company-Owned Company-Operated (COCO) models in the states of West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.

In total, the company has inaugurated 15 new showrooms in fiscal year 2025 so far, six of which are franchise-run. With these additions, Senco Gold now operates a total of 175 showrooms, including one international outlet in Dubai.
