Mumbai: SBI Life Insurance Company NSE 0.16 % on Friday said its standalone net profit for the quarter ended December rose 56.34% to ?364.06 crore from ?232.85 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company said its net premium income rose 30.39% year-on-year (YoY) to ?18,025 crore from ?13,766 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The company said there was strong growth in individual new business premiums at 43% to ?11,610 crore in the period.
Protection new business premium increased by 26 per cent from ?1,620 crore in this fiscal so far to ?2,040 crore.
