Bharat Electronics


Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics on February 8 said it has received orders worth Rs 962 crore, including a Rs 610 crore contract to supply an Electro-Optic Fire Control System (EOFCS) to the Indian Navy. EON-51 is an Electro-Optical Fire Control System that provides search, detection, and classification of targets using electro-optical and thermal imager devices


Glenmark Pharmaceuticals 


The drug firm Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd on February 7 said it has received an order from the Joint Commissioner of Central Goods and Services Tax and Central Excise (CGST & CX) Palghar, Maharashtra, seeking Rs 121.25 crore in tax, interest, and penalties from 2017-18 to 2021-22. The order includes a demand of Rs 57.70 crore for excess Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) refunds claimed on the cost, insurance, and freight (CIF) value instead of the free-on-board (FOB) value.


Vedanta


The mining conglomerate on February 8 said it has received two orders, dated February 6, from the Office of the Commissioner, Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) & Central Excise, Rourkela Commissionerate, seeking penalties totaling Rs 141.36 crore, along with tax demand and applicable interest.


Cipla


The Mumbai-based drug manufacturer has informed the exchanges that its manufacturing facility in Bengaluru's Virgonagar has received a Voluntary Action Indicated status from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA.)

Brainbees Solutions


The parent company of FirstCry, reduced its losses by 69.2 percent in the third quarter of FY25. The company’s net loss dropped from Rs 48.4 crore to Rs 14.7 crore.


Wockhardt


The company reported a net profit of Rs 14 crore for the December quarter, a significant comeback from the Rs 83 crore loss that the pharma major reported for the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Its revenue from operations stood at Rs 721 crore, a rise of nearly 3 percent from the Rs 701 crore revenue from operations reported in Q3 of FY24.


VA Tech Wabag


The water treatment player reported an 11.6 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 70.2 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024. Consolidated revenue from operations grew 15.1 percent to Rs 811 crore against Rs 704.4 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.


Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services


The company reported a 69 percent year-on-year surge in revenue, reaching Rs 336.4 crore in Q3FY25. Net profit grew to Rs 20.2 crore during the quarter, marking a 33 percent year-on-year increase.


VST Industries


Net sales rose 1.26 percent to Rs 367.15 crore in December 2024 from Rs 362.58 crore a year ago, while quarterly net profit surged 153.65 percent to Rs 136.26 crore from Rs 53.72 crore in the same period.


NHPC


The state-owned hydropower giant reported a 47 percent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 330.13 crore in the December quarter, primarily due to higher expenses.


Oil India


The company reported a 44 percent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,457 crore for the third quarter of financial year 2024-25, compared to Rs 2,607 crore last year. The state-run oil and gas exploration company’s revenue from operations also fell to Rs 9,089 crore, as against Rs 10,912 crore, registering a fall of 16.7 percent.


PSP Projects


The company reported a 10.58 percent decline in net sales to Rs 630.21 crore in December 2024 from Rs 704.75 crore a year ago, while quarterly net profit plunged 83.74 percent to Rs 5.05 crore from Rs 31.08 crore in the same period.


Sun TV Network


The South India-based broadcaster reported a 20 percent year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at Rs 363 crore for the December quarter against Rs 453.9 crore in Q3 FY24. Revenue from operations dipped 10.4 percent to Rs 827.6 crore compared to Rs 923.2 crore a year ago.


Venky's


The company reported a 7.51 percent decline in net sales to Rs 881.61 crore in December 2024 from Rs 953.17 crore a year ago, while quarterly net profit surged 356.68 percent to Rs 20.38 crore from Rs 7.94 crore in the same period.


LIC


The company reported a 16 percent year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 11,009 crore, even as net premium income declined 9 percent to Rs 1.07 lakh crore. Meanwhile, its gross NPA margin improved to 1.64 percent.


Mahindra & Mahindra


The 'Scorpio' SUV manufacturer reported a 19 percent rise in net profit at Rs 2,964 crore for the quarter ended December, driven by strong demand for its sport utility vehicles and tractors. The auto major reported a 20 percent rise in revenue from operations at Rs 30,538 crore in Q3FY25 as against Rs 25,383 crore in Q3FY24.


Fortis Healthcare


The company's net profit grew 84 percent in December to Rs 248 crore. Revenue rose 15 percent on year to Rs 1,928 crore.


Alkem Laboratories


The company reported a 5 percent year-on-year rise in net profit at Rs 626 crore in the December quarter. Revenue from operations was up marginally by 1.5 percent year-on-year to Rs 3,374 crore in the quarter under review as against Rs 3,324 crore in the same quarter last year.


Borosil


The company's net profit declined 6.4 percent year-on-year to Rs 35.5 crore from Rs 37.3 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue, however, saw a healthy increase of 11.3 percent, coming in at Rs 338 crore compared to Rs 303.8 crore in the year-ago period.
