The benchmark indices saw profit booking after hitting new highs, closing in the red on July 10, with negative breadth. About 1,640 shares declined, while 694 shares advanced on the NSE. The Nifty 50 failed to sustain 24,400 on a closing basis. If the index breaks 24,200, the immediate support, then selling pressure may extend to 24,000.
